Friends of the Library

The 2024 Book Sale was a huge success thanks to all of the wonderful donations and the volunteers! We so appreciate our supportive community! We raised over $3000 to help with programming at the library. 

The 2025 Book Sale has been set for the weekend of April 4th. 

The Friends organization meets quarterly to plan and discuss upcoming events and projects that support the mission of the Lansing Community Library.  Your participation brings fresh ideas to Lansing Community Library.  Come to one of our Friends Meetings if you want to learn more! All meetings are at the Library on a Wednesday at 6pm on the following dates:

• March 19, 2025 - Book Sale Planning
• May 22nd - Summer Reading Planning
• September 17, 2025 - Summer Reading Recap
• November 19, 2025 - Winter Reading Planning

Membership dues and fundraisers such as the Annual Book Sale and the Book Nook located in the library fund the following projects: 

• Lansing Community Library Imagination Library
• Summer & Winter Reading Programs 
• 1000 Books Before Kindergarten
• Weekly Craft Packs for the children
