Parks and Recreation Advisory Board
The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board (P.R.A.B.) acts as an advisory committee for the City of Lansing's Governing Body concerning all aspects of Parks & Recreation. Volunteers are selected for two-year terms and are required to attend meetings which occur on the second Thursday of January, March, May, September, and November.
Duties of the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board members include studying and supporting the growth of park areas and recreation programs, advising the director on development and maintenance matters, and taking part in revisions of the Parks & Recreation section of the City's comprehensive plan. The Board also assists in creating policies, rules, and regulations for Parks & Recreation facilities and programs, and helps organize various Parks & Recreation events throughout the year.
