How to Donate Items to the Book Sale

The Friends also accept donations to the Book Sale Nook and the annual book sale held in April. Donations are accepted during our Donation Drop-Off Days. 

We do accept:

• Books in clean and in like new condition.
• Books must be fairly new editions or must be well known titles/authors.
• Items of local interest will be considered on individual merit.
• Current magazines
• DVDs

Due to space limitation and other factors, we do not accept any of the following items:

• Encyclopedias, manuals, or textbooks
• Dirty or moldy books
• Water damaged books
• VHS tapes

Gifts or donations of books/materials are accepted with the understanding that they may be used or dispensed of as the Friends of the Library determines is appropriate. These items may be sold in the on-going books sale, given away, recycled, or otherwise dispensed at the discretion of the Friends of the Library. Gifts made to the library become the sole property of the Friends of the Library.

Under existing law, gifts to libraries may be deductible; the deduction is governed by the provisions of the Internal Revenue Code.
