LANSING CITY SCHEDULES FOR FOURTH OF JULY HOLIDAY; PERSONAL FIREWORKS USAGE
City of Lansing offices will be closed on Mon., July 5, 2021 in observance of the Independence Day holiday. City offices will reopen at their regular times on Tues., July 6. The Lansing Community Library will be closed on Sat., July 3 and Mon., July 5.
Waste Management/Deffenbaugh’s trash and recycling collection will not be delayed due to the holiday. Trash is scheduled to be collected as usual on Thurs., July 8.
Fireworks can be discharged within Lansing city limits from July 1 - 4 between the hours of 12 p.m. and 10 p.m., except on July 4 when fireworks can be discharged from 12 p.m. until 11 p.m. Bottle rockets are not allowed to be discharged in the State of Kansas. Individuals caught discharging bottle rockets within City limits will be cited and given a court appearance date.
