Recycling in Lansing
The city of Lansing offers curbside recycling. The cost of recycling service is included in your trash bill. Recycling is collected every Thursday. Place recyclable items loosely (do not bag) in the cart with the yellow lid. No plastic bags please!
Acceptable Recyclable Materials:
- Advertising Inserts
- Brochures
- Carrier Stock (cardboard, drink cartons)
- Catalogs
- Chipboard (cereal boxes, gift boxes, etc.)
- Corrugated Cardboard (2' x 2' pieces)
- Junk Mail
- Magazines
- Manila File Folders
- Newspaper (no plastic rain bags)
- Office Paper
- Recyclable Mixed Paper
- Telephone Books
- Aluminum Cans
- Steel (tin) Food and Beverage Cans
- Plastic containers numbered 1 through 7
Packing boxes: Please break down/flatten and place next to the recycling cart. Boxes may also be recycled at the Leavenworth County Transfer Station.
