THE 2022 LANSING FIREWORKS SHOW IS JULY 2

The city of Lansing Independence Day Fireworks Celebration is Sat., July 2, 2022 at Towne Center, located just west of Main St./K-7 and W. Mary St. This year’s free event features live music from approximately 3 – 10 p.m., followed by fireworks at about 10 p.m.

The day will start at 3 p.m. with food vendors and inflatables available for families to enjoy. During the afternoon there will be musical performances by The Good Sam Club Band from 3 – 6:30 p.m., playing their mix of Rock, Country and the Blues. Headline band Flashback KC will be on stage from approximately 7 – 10 p.m. to entertain attendees with their Motown/Disco/Funk and Soul sounds.

Food and Beverages: the celebration offers a variety of food and beverage truck choices. Featured items include frozen treats, shaved ice, beer and wine, lemonade, BBQ, wraps, hoagies, hot dogs, roasted sweet corn, Mexican food, grilled hamburgers, grilled sandwiches, cotton candy and more.  

Family Friendly Fun: There’s lots of fun and silliness for the kids to enjoy with inflatable slides and bouncy houses.   

Fireworks Show: Victory Pyrotechnics & Special Events returns to Lansing with a custom designed and innovative fireworks display. The show will feature music, lasers, lights and an impressive display of fireworks. 

 Parking: Limited ADA parking will be available in the Exchange Bank parking lot on the SW corner of K-7 and W. Mary St.  Those attending can also take advantage of a free shuttle service originating from Lansing Intermediate School and Lansing Elementary School. The first shuttle will leave school parking lots at about 3 p.m. Shuttles will run about every 7 - 10 minutes. The last shuttle prior to the fireworks show will leave school parking lots at 9:15 p.m.

Lansing Mayor Tony McNeill will open the fireworks portion of the show. City staff strongly urges attendees to arrive early or to use shuttle service.

Please note: fireworks shall not be discharged within the event venue or within 500 feet of the perimeter of the display setup area. Lansing authorities also remind attendees that charcoal, propane or any type of BBQ grill is not permitted in Town Center.
