Sanitary Sewer Emergencies

If you have problems with your drains backing up or sewage coming up from your plumbing, contact your local plumbing company.  Wastewater Department personnel can be dispatched to check the City’s sewer main, if needed.  The Wastewater Department can be contacted Monday - Friday 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. by calling 913-727-2206.  Outside of those hours, call the Sheriff's Office at 913-682-5724.
