Rules of the Court

  • Appropriate clothing and shoes must be worn. The following items are specifically prohibited: hats, caps, halter tops, bare midriffs, pajamas or pajama pants, and clothing items with offensive language/images.
  • Food and/or drinks are not allowed in the courtroom.
  • Weapons of any type are not allowed in the courtroom.
  • All cell phones or other portable electronic devices must be turned off or set to “silent” mode. Any device that goes off while the court is in session will be confiscated by order of the judge and retained until the court has adjourned for the day.
  • All defendants under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
