K-7 AND EISENHOWER ROAD INTERSECTION UPDATE - NB AND SB TRAFFIC MOVING AGAIN

Contractors for the city of Lansing have reopened a portion of K-7 (Main St./ 4^th St.) just north of Eisenhower Rd.  Motorists are still encouraged to use Desoto Rd./ Shrine Park Rd. and Muncie Rd./K-5 alternate routes. 

In 2019, KDOT awarded local governments $1.68 million for a cost share project with Lansing and Leavenworth to make safety and efficiency improvements. The total investment in the intersection will be more than $3 million through a cooperative agreement between the three parties. Here’s more information about the intersection improvement project.
