CITY SCHEDULES FOR JULY 4 HOLIDAY; PERSONAL FIREWORKS USAGE IN LANSING

City of Lansing offices will be closed on Thurs., July 4, 2024 in observance of the Independence Day holiday. City offices will reopen at their regular times on Fri., July 5. The Lansing Community Library will be closed on Thurs., July 4 as well as Sat., June 29 to support the Lansing Independence Holiday event at Lansing High School.

Waste Management/Deffenbaugh’s trash and recycling collection will be delayed due to the holiday. Trash is scheduled to be collected on Fri., July 5.

Fireworks can be discharged within Lansing city limits from July 1 - 4 between the hours of 12 p.m. and 10 p.m., except on July 4 when fireworks can be discharged from 12 p.m. until 11 p.m. Bottle rockets, sky rockets and sky lanterns are prohibited from being discharged. Individuals caught discharging these items within City limits will be cited and given a court appearance date.
