LANSING MAYOR’S CHRISTMAS TREE PROGRAM SCHEDULED FOR DEC. 6

Join Lansing Mayor Mike Smith and Councilmembers at 6 p.m. on Sun., Dec. 6 for the annual Mayor’s Christmas Tree Lighting.  Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the lighting ceremony will look different this year.  The Tree will be lit outside at the Lansing Community Center, 800 1st Terr.  There will be no performances this year.   The general public is invited to attend the Tree lighting.  Attendees will be required to wear a mask.  The event will also be livestreamed on Facebook.

People wishing to donate to the Mayor’s Christmas Tree Program can drop off or mail their donations to City Hall, 800 1st Terr., Lansing, KS 66043. Monetary donations are tax deductible through the “Friends of Lansing” non-profit group. Private individuals, civic organizations and businesses are also encouraged to participate.
